Becoming a fast trend over the past couple of years, Natural and Earthy Venetian plaster creates a subtle two tone effect, playing on depth and lightness.

It create a seamless space, merging the indoors and out with a smooth, natural finish that becomes a feature in the house itself.

 

You can opt for a matte sealer to retain a dull finish, or a sealer with a low and natural level of shine.

In this shop fit out we used Istinto (Giorgio Graesan) with a low shine epoxy finish for a luxurious feel to a minimalistic design.

CEMENT RENDER

Modern, Clean Lines. Increase Value.

  • The fastest way to increase value and style to your home, is by rendering it.
  • The most common finish is a ‘sand finish’ which gives you clean lines and a light grainy finish.

Most of the houses on the Sunsine Coast are cement rendered with beads on corners and have a sponge finish. It can then be painted whichever colour you wish.

We do have the option to customise the finish (e.g mediterranean style) by changing techniques such as a flat trowel to make corners curved and create undulation depending on the style desired. 

If you want to get creative, we love that! The sky’s the limit and we are happy to discuss options. 

  • We choose to use a Rockcote sand cement product which offers a warranty, however we can do traditional sand cement if requested. 

Traditional sand cement is mixed on site with a mixer and wheel barrow.

The Rockcote Sand Cement is mixed offsite in a huge vatt (the size of your house) then evenly distributed in bags for easy mixing (and application) on site. 

They all produce the same finish, but we prefer Rockcote because it gives a cleaner finish, you can go over different blocks/surfaces and it comes with a warranty.

You cannot add colour to cement render, however you can paint it any colour you like. 

The other option is once you’ve rendered, Acrylic texture can be applied over the top in your choice of colour.

Extra Durability, Flexibility and Customised Colour.

Acrylic Texture (render) is coated over the top of cement render to add extra durability and flexibility to move with the render to avoid cracking.

Acrylic render gives you the ability to colour match your render to achieve any colour you desire, no need to follow with paint. 

Tinting the acrylic texture can give a natural earthy finish rather than a full block coverage like paint and we can customise the finished style using various finishing techniques. 

Coastal or Modern style – float finish or sponge finish

Mediterranean (very popular) – trowel finish for an undulated, curvy appearance

It is suitable for use over Foam/GreenBoard, Hebel, and Blueboard. The whole process includes Render, Prime, 1-2 Coats of Texture and Clear Sealer.
